Murder in the House is a game sort of like the board game Clue where the object is to deduce who committed a murder. There are five suspects, and you, as the detective, have unlimited time and an unlimited number of questions to ask in order to figure out whodunnit. It's all presented in simple text mode with letter hotkeys to choose who / what you want to ask. Not terribly deep; apparently it was based on code from a 1979 magazine listing, and was made in QuickBasic but doesn't include the source.
