Inspector X is a strange game which is sort of a randomized text-mode adventure game. Your task as a private eye is to catch 10 of the most wanted criminals in town. You do this by wandering around the streets (after finding a police station to get your work assignment) and trying to figure out what commands to type to make progress. There are random encounters that will keep things interesting, and the game doesn't really have graphics per se but it does have a sort of simple map, and there are many random sound effects that play for no apparent reason. I used the word "random" a lot here but it truly applies. It's an interesting game but not one that I personally wanted to play for very long.
