Darklight Conflict is a space combat simulation game in the same vein as the Wing Commander series. You pilot one of three different space ships in order to complete various missions. The action is presented from the cockpit in a real-time 3D view. The game's graphics look decent and it has pretty good sound effects, although both would be expected of a commercially released game in 1997. It has different modes of play, including action and adventure modes as well as deathmatch and capture-the-flag type games. (At least in the full game, this is a demo version.)
