police quest technical help

Hi, first post! any way Im playing police quest 1 and i love it but i cant get past this one part because I have to press f10 to put on my siren. But when i do that it doesnt work. Ive tried dos box but it still didnt work. Should I try a older keyboard lol? plz help.
