I recently started a survey about what kind of programming language people prefer.So reply to this message and say what programming language is your favorite.After 10 Days,I will tally it up and post the most prefered language so begginers or others can get a good start,Or For Oldies,Use A More Efficient Language.Or Easier.

Depends on what you mean by "efficient". In a sense assembly language is most efficient since it RUNS most efficiently, but it's certainly not most efficient to actually program in. A "higher" language (like C, Visual Basic, etc) is easier and more efficient for actually developing stuff. But you lose a certain amount of control as you move from "lower" level languages to "higher" ones; ex, Ruby on Rails allows really fast development, but you're also constrained.
In sum, there is no "best" programming language. It's whatever is best suited to the task you're trying to perform.

BASIC!
(in its various manifestations: GWBASIC, QuickBASIC, BASICA, Visual BASIC, Atari/C64 BASIC, etc.)
Reason: because it's what I learned when I was a little kid, and I grew up with it, and thus it is my personal programming language.
Started with ADAM SmartBASIC, moved on to GWBASIC/BASICA, then on to QuickBASIC, then to Visual BASIC.
I created 5 games on QuickBASIC.

C! And Basic. And Adventure Game Studio!... and whatever, I find my way around any kind of language pretty fast!
