DOS Games Discussion

I have searched for all sorts of different games over the years and found all but two; one of which is a dos game. This dos game was made around 1988, I think, and consisted of recruiting heroes. It was incredibly simplistic where you would choose a path for your heroes to walk, they would walk it and all these bats and fireballs and other dangers would fly at your heroes. You would then have to use your mouse (or directional keypad if I remember right) to click on the projectiles before they landed on any of your heroes. If you succeeded in a path you would gain the hero of the area; and you could backtrack to regain lost heroes. Finally there were two paths to take to go to the end boss with your heroes.

So as your heroes walked across the bottom of your screen left-to-right, you would basically be playing shooting gallery to protect them. Anyone remember the name of this game?

Haha! After a lot of searching I finally found it! It's exactly as I remembered it, and its totally wonderfully horrible! I had to play it through just once. The game's name iiiiisss... *drum roll please*...

Crossbow!

And hey, I was dang close saying it was around 1988 that it was made, it was made in 1989!

An interesting yet quite frustrating game IMHO, I remember it well and have no urge to download it

yeah i noticed that. i really dont WANT to play a game that's like dressing 2 dolls or anything....no really.....no i mean it....I .... nevermind.
