getting Ripper to work on xp

I have been trying without luck to get the game Ripper (Take 2 Interactive) to install and play on Windows XP. The message that I have received is that I need to load a VESA driver onto my computer. The problem is that I have an Intel 82865G Graphics Controller which is not supported by UNIVBE. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what VESA drivers will work on this video card?

If not, what would be a good video card to get?

Before going out and buying a new video card, try the game in DOSBox. That program is amazing: it should easily be able to handle driver / graphics compatibility errors.

You can get it from www.dosgames.com at the utilities page.

I tried DOSbox and it gave me the message about the VESA drivers needing to be loaded.

I posted a way to get past the VESA problem over in your other thread... http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic ... 3242#63242
