Quest for Glory IV, Error 48

I am having problems with the Quest for Glory 4. Every time the staff starts to talk to the Faeries Queen (Window Version), the game crashes, telling me about Error 48. In the DOS version I tried to do the same, it still crashed on me, something about the "Grangular Page Limit" or something like that. I do not know how to solve it. Can anyone help me out?
