Major Frustration XP

hi i am using windows xp to try and run these. i downloaded dungeon keeper gold as well as beast and bumpkins. both are cd-ripped versions the installation and things went fine both even started up until the loading screen for dungeon keeper gold popped up the screen was a a question mark inside of a cd and the game wouldn't load past that point. so what do i do to make the games run.
