I am planning to make some games to sell as freeware. Who knows an easy to use and learn programming language?

C with allegro

The C should be easy: most other languages are similar to C anyway, and the allegro stuff isn't so bad: there's heaps of open source software out there.

There's always GameMaker:

Its probably a good start if you've never programmed anything before. If you have, then probably using C or something as Dosser suggests ...

Also, you can't sell freeware, it'd be shareware if you want people to pay to register it. Just a minor semantics thing :D

And it's from holland. :D

I always liked DIV gamemaker... It's not free though.

Turbo pascal is a powerful language allowing for OOP(object oriented programming) and other such functions in classic DOS realtime.

borland released their TP 5.5 for free at:

at some point this weekend I might finish my little pascal site which will include a lot of links to tutorials that I came across.
