DOS Games Discussion

Hi, I'm looking for an old game we had on our first computer. I don't know the name, I don't really know much details. What I do know is that the main characters in one of the sequels are a yellow and orange alien-type funny creatures. You had to do all sorts of things like get past a sleeping giant. (the sort of game reminded me of Hugo's house of horror).
I also know that one of the sequels started out on a pirate-ship. The graphics were quite good, say, super-nintendo-like.
I know it's skinny info, but I hope you can help me.
