I can't get Fantasy General to run under XP.

No error message, no nothing. Screen just goes black for a few seconds and then hops back to the folder.

I've tried running it both from the standard .BAT file and from the .EXE that the BAT accesses. I've given the EXE the appropriate memory settings and all, but it doesn't seem to help. Despairing, I even tried using Windows XP's "compatability mode"(Which has never helped me before, so I tried it last.). And still no damn luck.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to try?
