in the wonderful game ugh i get everything great until the screen prior to the actual game comes. there you got F1 to start, F2 for something etc.
at this point nothing happens. not a single botten on my keyboard makes anything happen. i am using dosbox.
one other thing i noticed is the game has only one file (before and after i unzip the folder.)

Have you tried downloading it somewhere else? It could be a corrupt/partially missing file.

One file is normal. :) Isn't that nice, it's file size is small yet there are many levels to play. I played the game long ago on Win95 and finished all except the last level. Ahh memories of how much nicer it was to play 2 players than 1 player. Anyway, back to the subject. To test for you, I just downloaded the copy from dosgames achive, you can see the game being advertised on the front page. :D Then ran it under dosbox and it runs fine. Pressing F1 does start the game. On that menu page, only F1, F2, F3 & F4 can be used. Only after starting the game can other keys be used. Do you mean all your function keys couldn't work? If yes, then I have no clue what caused it. As far as I know it can run under Win95 without dosbox and can run under WinXP with the help of dosbox. Hmm, wonder if your problem is to do with some PC thing. Do you encounter the same problem when running some other dos game under dosbox?
