I downloaded and installed VDM sound on a new installation of Windows XP and used it to run the game IndyCar 2. It worked great, but then after installing some other programs and updating Windows, it will no longer load the game. It will load, but will not open the game, it gives me a message "press any key to continue", then when you press the key, the whole thing disappears. HELP!! It was doing great until this!!!

VDM sound quit working
Is this something to do with NTVDM or autoexec.nt.. BAh if people listened and used apples life would be much easier...
Add these files from http://www.dosgames.com/~wally4000/autocon.zip to your system32 directory (Original files which somehow had been deleted) if this is the case and try VDMsound again

Never experienced this problem, but you may want to try uninstalling VDMSound and reinstalling it. Its possible that one of the other installs/updates overwrote a file that VDM needs to work properly. Its worth a shot, anyways ...
