Can anyone tell me how to run X-Com original in XP or how to boot this crappy system to dos, if at all possible. I can't live without the best squad game ever. Every time I try to install it from the cd, it says "goto was unexpected at this time". Please help.

Try doing the same thing using DOSbox.
Or else you could copy the installation files onto your hard drive and install from there (Windows hates DOS CDs even more than the rest of DOS).

Why not just find the Collector's Edition?
