Hocus Pocus Help!

Alright, I have Windows XP. I downloaded Hocus Pocus, one of my all-time favorites, but it didn't work. The error is titled "16 bit MS-DOS subsystem." It goes on to read:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOs and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application

I'll get over it, if it won't work, but I thought I downloaded Hocus Pocus once before and it worked fine. Some help would be great! Thanks!
