At first sight i would advise a heavy sledge hammer, will solve your sorrows fast.
At second sight: Could you give some 'little bit' more info?
OS?SPECS?or even : what are you talking about?
Even maybe what game ? Or the excact error message you are getting?
Be honest: how do i fix this ?????????????????????????????

Sorry, don't know a thing about that game.
So some general tricks:
- Are you sure the files the game is looking for are present?
- Have you try to rightclick on the executable and setting the compability mode to 95/98/or even 2000?
- On the tab 'program' inputting the appropiate and correct paths?
- Also on that rightclick setting the screen to 640x480/256 colours/no visual themes?
-It is possible you don't get any tabs when you rightclick, that means is a native XP prog, try it out,as i said, don't know the game, their general thingy's that can be helpfull sometimes....also look for a readme .* or a howto.* or even a *.inf.
-If nothing works post again, there are lot's of gamers around , maybee someone will know how to get it running. And if you get it running, let us know, maybe it will help others.

Thanks for the info unfortunatley I have tried all of the above prior to posting here I have also tried using my nv4_disp driver file as the primary driver for the game. And then pointing the game.cfg file to point to that file.Didnt work....I am at a loss here aside from getting windows 3.1 or making a lower than usable computer with nothing but dos I dont know how to make the game work....

"lower than usable computer with nothing but dos "
Hell mister ,a dos computer is a beautifull thing, believe me.
Are you meaning that it is a dos game ? if it is, have you tried dosbox?
Or is it a win 3.x game?if so ,is still have a systembackup somewhere i think..if you can give me the correct name of the missed files i can look for them..
Can it be downloaded somewhere ? i would like to give it a try...

Nope.
I found the game, seems interesting indeed, but no dice..
I can't get it to work, even with all the 3d acceleration down. Also have try'd the svga8 trick,no dice. The intro starts up and get out with the 2d error.
But i will look around if there's no patch somewhere to get it working with a AGP card, because that is the problem here.
Maybe you can try this on your pc :
go to start, select run, input dxdiag ,and in the program go to screen (i believe - mine is dutch !) and kill all the acceleration. Then try to run the game.
If it's nothing restart dxdiag and allow again 3d acceleration. There is no risk for your pc to try that one out.
When i have a bit more time to spend i will certainely take another look on it.

Thank you for all of your help.Btw Im not a noob to gaming or computers and have tried everything I can possibly think of to make this work was just hoping that someone was interested in this game and actually had a breakthrough..Again thank you for your help I will keep on tinkering with it to see if I can make some headway although I doubt it will work on an up to date computer I may have to break out the ol 486 dx2 ( ohhhh the old days) and give it a go...Do you know where I could dload win 3.1 ? or perhaps dos?

Click my pm button, send me your adress (if you want it can be a temp adr) and i send you msdos7.10,it's about 3 Mb compressed , so see that there is sufficiant space . It comes in a zipfile containing 2 self extract files, direct writing the bootable flops. I will give you the instruction with it to do it work. You will have approx 623 Kb free base mem fully installed . (with cdrom mounted)more then enough for any dosgame.
BTW:there is a way to play that #@# game on a newish pc , but you have to put an extra older pci vidcard in and do some fiddle on the system param's. To much fuzz for one game, if you ask me. Better build up an 486 , you will enjoy it, and have a real gaming machine for dos games.
