There were so many SB16 models, which one is it.
Is it PCI or ISA? Is it PnP or no?
What machine do you have? What operating system?

Yeah - DOS games don't like PCI sound cards in general. Check if there are any DOS legacy drivers that came with the card.
Are you running your games from Windows or from pure DOS? (by pure, I do NOT mean - opening a DOS window, but restarting your computer in DOS mode, so that there is no Windows in the background)
In DOOM and Wolf3D, do you get only sound effects, or also music?

ok, doom and wolf3d both have sound effects and music. i just installed prince of persia 2 off a cd and the speech and sound effects work and i ran it in windows. i tried running the games in pure dos, but still no sound. would it have anything to do with the 5.25 media?

Alright, some more info I'd like then:
1) How is the soundcard configured in the games where it works, i.e. type, port, IRQ, DMA?
2) Please post the contents of your Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files.
