DOSGames.com site update April 25th 2005

Post by emmzee »

Huzzah, and so on! Somehow more games have been added to the site, perhaps due to osmosis but probably not!
Almost one month after the last update comes ... uh, this update. Seven new games: BabyType, Blocks from Hell, Bolitaire, Escape From the ASCII Trolls, Hexen, Xatax and Zong. Get 'em here.
See! Download! Perspire! Let me know if I screwed up anything! Then pat yourself on the back sir or madam! B)

Wow! You have no idea how happy you have made me!

Oh by the way, you uploaded the old version of Escape From The ASCII Trolls.... There is a updated version here : http://www.matthewbarnes0025.supanet.co ... Trolls.zip

It fixes a small bug that Dosser found and has an easy mode because the last version was much too hard for some people. You might want to update, or you might not!

I was very impressed to see Escape from the the ASCII trolls listed as well. :)

I think it really creates a cool atmosphere when you can download a game you like, then join the community and talk to author, make suggestions, watch the development, etc. The last time I remember talking to a dosgame author on these forums was with the guy who made Vamperic Towers, and he didn't stay around long.

Yeah, that is great :D

Fenrir obviously had great pride for his games, the way we asked him questions and he replied instantly, we made suggestions and he fixed them quickly.

Hello emmzee. At a conveniant time would it be at all possible for you to redownload my game and re-upload it to your site please? The reason I ask this was because the version I uploaded was not entirely the version that I had thought I had uploaded. Some of you may have noticed that if you pressed a key that did not do anything, the flashing text cursor in the bottom left moved down by 1 line. This was a left-over from a small experiment I conducted and I thought I had removed it. Unfortunately I uploaded the wrong thing :( This is the only change, as you can see, it is not a big change nor does it effect the game in any way, however it is irritating for me knowing that it is there! Obviously it is not essential that you redownload my game, but if you have the time please would you? Sorry..
