DOS Games Discussion

so I downloaded skyroads. When i try to open the game, a dos window pops up, then my whole monitor goes black (dos window being maximized) and then it returns to the screen and nothing happens.... the game never starts. I made a copy of the program to my desktop, and after trying to delete it it gave me the message cannot delete because a program is currently using this aplication. close any programs that might be using it.... blah blah blah. ok... so what up with it?

For starters: It runs fine on dosbox.

Let's suppose skyroads is on your C drive , folder c:\games\skyroads\.
On the dosbox prompt type:

mount c c:\games
c:
cd skyroads
skyroads
and here you go......
