Mindless 2D shooter set in a tower

I just remember a game I played years ago: it has the word tower in it's title.

It was a 2D top view shooter: good graphics and sound effects. It had 2 player cooperative mode.

The basic idea was a couple of guys with big automatic guns walking around a tower blowing up aliens.
