Tyrian runs SLOW!!

Hi!

I have been playing Tyrian 2000 through DOSBox for some time. However, I have to play it with graphics on the "Low" setting and speed on "Slow." If I up the graphics to "Normal" or "High," no amount of fiddling with the speed will make the game play at normal speed. Any help on my speed issues??

Try changing to a different video rendering in dosbox. I find the D-fend frontend (check out the downloads section at dosbox's website for the link) makes this an easier task. This is one of those games that just needs tweaked with most settings until it works well. I can't get it to play well on wild, but it runs great on high even at high speed.
