Old space trading-exploration game

I don't remember much about this game, I think we had it in the late 80's early 90's, you had a ship and travelled around meeting different aliens. you had to "hail" the ships when they got close to you to say hi, and there was some sort of goods trade going on. I remember that(to me, I was pretty little) the aliens looked "real" not especially dot-matrix-y

I don't think so... the other aliens i think came up on a screen, i'm pretty sure there were sound effects to mimic foreign alien languages... that could just be my overactice childhood imagination. i'm pretty sure there was minimal fighting... i was a pretty pacifistic little girl

dosgamesonline.com has the shareware version Solar Winds 1 to dl. it works well with DosBox. I'm looking for the full version/sequel right now. if anyone knows where to find it can you link me the file or site it is at?
