How to get WarCraft 2 Multiplayer game going over IPX connection.

First of all, I have no idea why this works but it did on two machines with XP.
Short version
Install "Client Service for NetWare" and "IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocall"

Then uninstall "Client Service for NetWare"

Then reset the way for User log on to Use welcome screen in user accounts

That is what worked on my computers.

This is a step-by-step for all.

1) Click on "Start"
2) Click on "Control Panel"
3) Double Click on "Network Connections"
4) It is possible to have diffrent configurations in this folder.
If you have a network bridge, right click it and select properties.
If you don't right click on Local area network
You should see a pop up box with three buttons "Install", "Uninstall", "Properties" and other Info and buttons.
If you don't see it try the other connections.

5) Click on "Install"
6) Select "Client" then Click on "Add"
7) Select "Client Service for NetWare" then OK
It will ask you to restart your comuter. Select "NO"

8) Click on "Install"
9) Select "Protocall" then Click on "Add"
10) Select "IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocall" then OK
This time go ahead and restart the computer

note: When the system reboots you will get a logon box, just select "OK"
On my first boot up after I change a protocall setting I would loose my mouse. just reboot to get the mouse back if this happens to you.

WarCraft 2 should work at this point for multiplayer but I'm not finished because I don't like the log on box.

11) Uninstall "Client Service for NetWare", reboot loose mouse, reboot it's back

12) Go to the Control Panel and double click "User Accounts"
13) Click on "Change the way users log on or off"
14) Select "Use the Welcome screen" and "Use Fast User Switching"
15) reboot one more time

At this point things should work the way you want them, I hope.
