DOS Games Discussion

There was this old dos game that I only had the pleasure of playing once, but it was a DOS or Win3.11 game that I think started with Space or Star???. It was one of those games where you went around in a spaceship to planets and conquered them I think.

One thing I DO remember is that it had a form of copy protection where it had this sheet of symbols and you needed this plastic decoder to view them and enter them in when the game started.

Any ideas?

Star Control? Star Command? Star Legions? Star Trek? Star Crusader? Star Ranger? Star fleet? Any of those ring a bell?

I've looked at all of the Star/Space games on this site and screenshots and none of them ring a bell. I remember you piloted a space ship, not sure if there was space battle. You landed on the planet and fought with very "tiny" units that you navigated. I don't remember much more than that but the copy protection always jumped out at me.

Command Adventures: Starship

Sounds alot like Star Flight.. which was a rockin game fer dos. You had to go and harvest animals and minerals.. take them back to your space station and sell them.. and a HUGE galaxy to explore.. some aliens were trying to blow up the universe if I remember correctly.
