Nope, no one can help you. I don't have any sound in DOS and I have Windows 98, and no one gave me an answer that worked.

I'm bumping this because I just got a game that requires pure dos AND sound. Can't believe it's been a year and I still haven't gotten it to work. My cd rom drive and joystick doesn't work either.

Your cd rom needs dosdrivers, should work with a w98 bootdisk, if your joystick is a USB: forget it.
Your soundcard : depends what type it is,if it is capable of working under dos (IRQ !!!) it also needs dosdrivers to be loaded.

The only problem is that I bought the computer strictly to run dos games, and it didn't come with a startup disk, and my joystick isn't a usb, it is a regular pin one.

Could you at least tell us what your soundcard is? How can someone help you otherwise?
