Need help, error msg when i start the game

Post by needhelp »

Hiya folks,

I recently downloaded this quite old dos game called Magic Carpet. I remember I used to play it alot years ago on my old p133. Ive extracted the game to a directory (c:\mcarpet1) and the games does run. But it runs extremely fast, so I downloaded a slow down utility for dos games called MoSlo.

I set it up to work with a shortcut to magic carpet in the same directory, but whenever I run the shortcut I get this error message:

"16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem (thats in the window of the message)
C:\mcarpet1\CARPET.PIF
Invalid startup directory, please check your pif file. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

I don't know what the heck its goin on about, there isnt a carpet.pif file in the folder.

Thx for your help,
TIM.

It's easiest to drag the games .exe onto the DOBox .exe.
