DOS Hates Multiple Monitors

Post by TheDotCommunist »

Because of the video editing and sound recording I do on my workhorse PC, I have a 3 monitor setup. I noticed that whenever I try to run a fullscreen DOS application (Game or otherwise) my 2nd and 3rd monitor freaks out and starts turning on and off rapidly.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I've just been temporarily disabling the monitors, is there any other way?

Have you tried the dos emulator Dosbox?

It may help as it is windoze based. dosbox.sourceforge.net

Instructions are in getting sound to work in XP

Or you could run the game in pure DOS mode, then the game will use the first (primary) monitor.
