i've played a game long time ago, and in the game you was a captain of a cargo ship, and you sailed around the world.
You can buy new ships and upgate them.

You had an worldmap with difrent harbors.
the worldmap was bleu with red ships.

Does anyone know this game.

Sorry for the bad discription

There's an excellent game called "Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons".
It's very much in the style that you've described. Even if that's not the game you're looking for, I highly recommend playing it.
Here are a couple of links to old DOS game sites:

I think I know this game; you had to steer the ship around the port and park it in the right place... you had to deal with management of your ships' momentum, and there was a time limit on performing this action. I think the game was multiplayer too... I believe it worked by taking turns. Funny, I was just thinking about that game too. It must be almost 15 years old. Is this the one you were talking about?

Aha, the name just hit me... it was "Ports of Call." Funny how you remember things when you're not trying too hard. Well, believe it or not there is a new updated windows version and a modern 3-D container ship simulation follow-up from the same publisher. No wonder we were both thinking about it... maybe there really is something to that hundredth-monkey group-telepathy business. ;-) Ain't the net a wonderful thing? Good sailing, friend...
