I get an error on XP trying to run older games, it says cannot find shell.dll? what does that mean?

A copy of shell.dll needs to be in both C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32. SHELL.DLL is a file, if you search for it, some websites may offer it for download. When you download it, place a copy in both the SYSTEM and SYSTEM32 folders of your Windows folder.
