Does anyone know where I can get the registed versions of Doom 1 and/or 2? I know it'll have to be abandonware, so pm me.

I think this should be in finding old games, and, I did know a site, but sadly it has gone under.

How were the graphics in Doom 2? I've never seen them.

well, it's coming to GBA soon, so you can see then. They weren't that much better than Doom 1.....in fact, I don't know if they used any better technology....

the full doom games would be warez. However with the demo you can still download some maps for episode 1 at doomcentral.com I see why'd you'd want them though.

Here is a place that has Doom for a pretty good price.

That may be a bit difficult.
The copy of Doom that we have came from a Goodwill Industries thrift store, sometimes second hand stores and rummage sales are good places to look for older games. Non profit organizations can bypass some of the copywrite laws and sell software. Also check what the public libraries in your area have in software. I don't know how things are where you live, but here in Ohio USA the libraries have quite a lot of software. (They have Quake for example.) :cuccoan:

Doom 2 had some more enemys, and a new weapon the super (double barrel) shotgun. Graphics were the same (cept for new monsters and new gun). The only other doom game i know what had improved graphics was Doom 64 on the N64. The graphics were redesigned, some type, but sharper images. They also had a new, secret gun, the hell laser, a laser that had 1 laser slot. If you found all 3 secret levels and found the artifacts, your laser went from 1 to 3 barrels. Doom is a fun game, i have it. I have a simpsons graphics patch also.

Thanks guys, but I found it myself on KaZaA. I think I am very lucky that it isn't a super-trjoan-virus or something.

The only problem is that the "The Simpsons" mod doesn't work with it.

Doom3 will be a completely different game.

the first 2 had a great techno soundtrack and dozens of monsters behind every door.

Doom 3 will be all scenery and a few monsters.

that's not what I heard.....but the screenshots do look a lot like a Resident Evil FPS.

trust me more then 3 enemy in a room would give you 5fps on a good system the way they are going with lighting and all

There could be more than that... You don't know, and it's supposed to be excellent.
