This doesn't work using windows 98 on VMware, but it works using DOS on VMware. I normally run win98 on VMware, but this needs DOS for some reason. So I made a second virtual machine with DOS on it. I installed everything with diskettes. Ironically the win98 setup disk works as a DOS installation disk.
I boot up the machine with the win98 setup disk, I do FDISK, then FORMAT C: and then SYS C: and it's good to go! after that I pop in the disk containing keen and load up the files and it works!
the only trouble is that the motion is choppy and it's also too fast. If anyone has any ideas maybe they could tell me, and hopefully I helped some linux users along the way.
