old Text Only games

Post by Shadow »

I'm looking for any old text games, not ascii graphics, just text where everything is text, discriptions, actions, everything. I used to have some really cool ones, but that was in the 80's!!! I'm actually looking for some specific ones, but I don't know the titles, so if anyone knows of any sites where there are some available, I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!

I know one: http://www.dosgames.com ! Look under adventure, the Zork games are really fun, and Adventure is a classic.

I have downloaded the ones from dosgames.com..... I've downloaded almost every game on the site!!! lol I filled up almost my entire hard drive with games from here and a couple other sites, I've gotten over 500 already, not counting the ones I moved to my older computer because they wouldn't run on my new one. Out of all of them there's only about 5 or 6 text ones. I'd really like to find some more, I'd love to get some of the ones I had on our first computer back in the 80s.

ya... its one thing if it was posted by a regged member, because chances are that they frequent the board. This one, however, was posted by a guest... we'll prolly never hear from this person again. Its kinda sad when you think about it... good bye shadow

Now THAT is a bump. Two year old topic, brought from the clutches of death.

ANyways, I think here has a good number of games that you're looking for, if that search is still going.....

Edit by admin: Sorry I had to edit the post, but for legal reasons linking to abandonware sites is not allowed as per board rules.
