Can anyone tell me how to start the game? lol.. all I get is either a frozen story screen or frozen game screen after the intro. Is there some button to push?

Try turning off the sound and music, or starting in MS DOS mode if you have a Windows 98. (It did this a lot on my 95, though strangely it works perfect on any other computer)

Solar Winds is a buggy game. Since DOSBox is like using a different computer, it is worth a try,

What up buddy, what you need to do is go online and find a dos emulator. Windows XP dos is completly different. you can get the up date at
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net
hope this helps you out. once you install the program make the .exe file a short cut on your desktop and click and drag solar winds run .exe program to the short cut that you put on your desktop and it will run like it should.

The only bug I ever found with the game is the: 'return scientist to titus' mission never dissapears. Also depending on how you deal with the ending, certain missions come back and stuff... odd.

I'm back from the brink...
Go to Windows Explorer, and find the Solar Winds Folder. Highlight it, right-click it, and make sure Read-Only is unchecked. I have received that error many times, and I assume that it cannot write to that file because it is a read-only. Make sure all files could be written to.
Good Luck!!
