i Dowloaded that super nice game (xcom terror from the deep) that reminds me of the time i had a 56K connexion and a 200MHZ amd. But it was running at crazy speed so i looked on the net and found out that moslo could solve it.
ACTUALY IT DIDN'T.
Moslo make the game lag when i clic on something but does not slow the background anims that are moving like crazy.
AND worst of ALL when i have my charact on a mission and i try to move on the map i can't it goes too fast, i mean u go up to visit the map and in 1/4 of a sec u are just all up out of the map. (sorry i can't explain right i am not a native english speaker)
Is there a way to slow down the scroll of the map in the game ??? i know it was not like this in the original game, and the background still moving like crazy so i guess this is a game problem .

You know, there's also a in-game setting for scroll, movement, and firing speeds...

Where can that option be located for slowing the scrolling?
Also, the version of the game I have found crashes whenever one of my guys is shot... I just started paying it and I'm getting nowhere at this rate.

Combat-mode speed settings are accesible through the question mark icon in lower-right:

* well, this is "UFO-Enemy Unknown", but it's the same thing.
The game problably crashes when firing because of sound problems. I never tried this game on any thing else but pure Dos or Win9x.[/img], on which it worked fine. But of course that under XP you don't get the "legacy" sound card settings : A220, I5, D1. That's why you got to use an emulator, like Dosbox, or VDMSound (just for sound compatibility).

Hey, thanks a lot. DosBox worked and I did find the options for changing those settings.
This is great... now I'll waste a ton more time on a new/really old game.

Cheers to Roger.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I dug this game out and started playing with out any difficulties however I encountered some upon going to fight terror site and some downed ships. I get about three to four turns into the battle and it abruptly ends declaring me the victor and I always receive the spoils from some previous mission. How the hell do I bloody get it to stop! It was cool at first but now I haven't been able to get any new technology to research.

How do I stop this?

its a trick... press ctr and c at the same tie during a mission and you can finish it with the outcome from the previous mission...
