old viking game

I'm looking for a game I used to play where you (or you and a friend) chose 1 of 3 vikings then had to battle through sidescrolling levels. Each viking had their own special power. Can anyone remember the name of it?

I have that game, on my sega genesis, it's called "The Lost Vikings". I got to the last level and never beat it.
Now I'm going to have to get it...

it's not "the lost vikings". the one I'm thinking of you had depth movement an almost isometric style. their were also three vikings tp choose from: a short green one (i remember it as a favourite) a tall blue guy, and a red girl, if that helps.

well plenty of old dosgames on my hdd (about 2 gig ) a bit of everything (abandonware,shareware or freeware)
As i have made an offer for the members at my forum you can buy Two cd's of Dosgames for $5 + Postage and handling whereever you live (COD system)

I believe you're talking about Golden Axe. Its an old arcade combat scroller and you get magic potions from elves. It has a map screen too between levels. Hope this is it.

eewww golden axe... I'd have just admitted to it being Lost Vikings
naw, Golden Axe isn't too bad. Axe Battler was totally leet tho

golden axe is the right name... but you dont get the potion from elves, but from squirrels you kick in the butt at night...
you can sit on dragons and other beasts and fight giants,
personages:
the green dwarf with double-sided axe,
the blue human with double sided sword,
the female woman in red, with also a sword
they can all do a bit of magic which kills opponents throughout the screen.

now i got a question, im looking for a game with 1 viking:
a platform game, with small viking about 3 cm high.
i remembered the game's name as viking, but it could be something different, can't find it.
