Title?: From Early Ninties ; Begin Game in Prison Cell

Post by Gregster »

Hey guys, I'm not going to be able to give you much to go on, but I *have* to find the title of this game.

This is some sort of early ninties game, somewhat futuristic, isometric 3/4 perspective.

At the very start of the game, you are a man alone and unarmed in a prison cell. Soon, a guard come over on a floating platform to check on you. You defeat him with unarmed attacks, and ride the platform out to the rest of the prison. If I remember correctly, holding down the spacebar starts a chain of kicks and punches.

I can't remember what it's called! I can't remember anything else about the game!

Help me Obiwon, you're my only hope!

I've never played Prince of Persia, but it sounds rather familiar.

Could it be one of the Crusader games (Crusader: No Remorse/Regret)? I've never played the full games to know how they unravel, but your description matches the look of the games. Does the character have red suit on and blow eveything up? If so, it's a Crusader game.

Gregster, can you give us any more information? Any guesses as to what the title of the game could be, or the name(s) of any characters or places in the game?

Edit: Was just browsing around Underdogs and came upon this game ... I doubt its the one you're looking for but it may be ... it's from the early 90's, you do apparently start off in a prison cell, and there are "arcade sequences" ...

Take a look here at the games listed:

This is a compendium of most games that used isometric view. Action games are listed at the bottom.

Awesome Response, But Keep Up the Good Work :)

Post by Gregster »

Hey, I really appreciate the response that I've gotten for this question.

I don't really know how much more information I can give you guys, though.

I know you start out in the cell, and you start out unarmed. The kicks and punches were fairly spinny and pretty, and I feel like it was better than 16 colors. It seemed second generate isometric, where the scene looked less artificial and the animations more fluid. But still sprite based.

But I've checked the Underdogs quite a bit, and I couldn't find it under action or RPG in SciFi or Cyberpunk, so I'm just gonna keep a-searchin'.

Thanks,
Gregster
