So, do you like free stuff? Okay. Here's how this little sweepstakes thing is going to work:

1) Post a link in this thread to a book that you want on Amazon.com.

2) After a week or so, I'll randomly pick someone and they'll get whatever book they posted.

3) There are no catches! Um except these ones :)

Catches:
- Maximum price of $25US
- You must be registered on the board and have at least 50 non-garbage posts
- Only books, no video games, electronics, etc
- One book only per person
- Nothing with content that could be deemed obscene/offensive

Before you ask:
- This is coming out of my own pocket ... well, money I've made from dosgames.com :)
- You don't have to "do" anything to get your prize other than post an Amazon link
- You'll have to give me your address tho after you win ;)
- I'm just doing this for fun

So pick something you want and maybe you'll win :) The winner will be decided by assigning a number to each person who posts and running a random number generator.

I've read Thinner, and honestly I wasn't all that impressed by it.

Hey, emzee, would we be able to change our book choice, perchance, or is editing locked?

Well, technically you're not eligible for the contest ;) But sure ppl can edit their choice, right up until I close the thread sometime next week to randomly choose the winner :)

Count me in. :)

Though, not too sure what to get yet... :-/

Searched Amazon for "Science Fiction", and all I got were dozens D&D rule books. >_<

I'll keep looking.

And will you cover S&H for the winner?

Yes, S&H will be covered. Thats why the $25 limit is rather lower than I would have liked. (The $25 limit is WITHOUT shipping.) I am hoping no one from Antarctica or who is currently located on the Mir space station wins ;)

Nice choice btw with the edgar allan poe pack ... although that of course will not influence your chances of winning ;)

just out of curiosity... the max price is $25 USD... can we choose 5 books that are $5 each?

(expecting a big spanking NO on this one, but it doesn't hurt to ask... excuse my greediness)

if yes...

Sorry ward, one item only, as specified in the original post :) Reasons why are twofold, firstly the shipping costs are higher when you order more items. (Ordering from amazon.ca won't help much since the total cost has to be over $39 to get free shipping there.) Secondly, it just makes things easier if each person picks one book. :)

JMS, good choice but since that book isn't in stock, you may want to pick a different one, otherwise you might be waiting a long time to get it. (I should have made a rule about the book has to be in stock ... hmm probably too late for that; I'll keep it in mind for next time :D )

As for drawing date ... let's say Tues April 27th since I'm going away for the wkend and may not be back until late Mon
