DOS Games Discussion

Hello!I've been searching for some time now for an old game (90's possibly) played on Windows 98 system on a CD. It's definitely a 2D rpg/jrpg style. I suppose it's horror or at least adventure because it was a very dark game. In the beginning,you are in a beautiful and bright village, it's peaceful, then you have to go out of the village, and when you come back it's all dark,with blood everywhere. You go back to your character's house and the mother is laying on the floor surrouned by a pool of blood,dead..and outside it's raining and there are thunderstorms. It has a medieval vibe and architecture.Any help is appreciated!
