It is a turn based map conquering game played against computer only. The map is not a world map but a random map. It doesn't involve any modern weapons like tanks, etc. The army comprises of soldiers. The game starts with every player having 1 province, surrounded by neutral provinces which we have to capture and then fight the other computer players when we get close. Object is to conquer the whole map. Some notable game mechanics are you can send robbers, spies to others kingdom and also you can build castles at your provinces when it is under attack you can zoom in and you'll be able to see the castle being attacked by soldiers. When you are attacking a castle you can control your soldiers and direct them whether to attack a wall or the door or somewhere else. It was really fun and addictive. I forgot the name.

We are not that good at finding mobile games; ask at reddit - they might be better at this?
Your description seems a bit like Risk, only soldiers don't figure much there.
Fantasy General might fit - except it's not for a mobile platform what I can see. (Switch is perhaps portable, but those releases came later)
Maybe there is something here: https://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/ ... /top-down/
