DOS/Win98 top down shooter

Hi guys.
Can you please assist me to find an old top down shooter.
I played the game on my Windows 98, so I am not sure if was in DOS or not, but most probably lets just say yes.

Short details: The game is after 90's and until 2002.
You are a person that can enter military vehicles and shoot the other enemy.
The feeling is like GTA London from DOS but instead the world is about military warfare.

I tried to find it several times and no result. Thank you for assistance!

Rwolf thank you for reply but is not C-dogs. The game had also vehicles that you can hop in, maybe some mechs also.
It looks similar Desert Strike but is not this one, because in that game you can switch the vehicles.
