Hello to all.
It so happens I'm looking for the registered versions of flying tigers 1 and 2 (a couple of underwhelming vertical shmups with great music however).
Might anyone have them handy? I believe they are sold out.

I can only tell you that the late Theodor Lauppert used to have the registered version of the first game on his site, but the sits is long down since and the Wayback Machine has not preserved the file:

All right. I managed to acquire both registered versions. So I guess that request is met.
Can't say whether they are free to be distributed or not however. Should I share them with dosgames or not? What is the site's policy on this?

We can only distribute officially liberated games -- i.e. those that were released as freeware with explicit permission from authors/copyright holders. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact legal status of the
Flying Tigers games. Since Ticsoft no longer exists, it is plausible to assume that the rights reverted to the original authors -- if they can be contacted, then we could possibly hope to clarify this issue, but I don't think anyone attempted to do so.
Also we can only guess why Svatopluk's Download Center offered the registered version of the first game to download, as there was no explanation either on the game page or in the actual game archive. Maybe it was uploaded by mistake.
BTW, if you''re playing in DOSBox, make sure to enable Gravis Ultrasound emulation and use that for sound and music -- the quality is notably better compared to Sound Blaster, You don't even need to install GUS MIDI patches for this to work, as
Flying Tigers uses tracker music.

Yes, as expected.
Thanks for the heads up. Surprising good music for a lacklustre shooter. Good thing the registered versions will endure.
