PC Fantasy RPG, ca. 2000

Im searching for a Old RPG that i played when i was younger.
It schould be from something around 2000.
It looks very similar to The Baldurs gate and Icewind Dale Games.
I dont remember much but you startet with 4 Charakters in your Party.
In the first city i always equipped everyone with a Iron Sword and went exploring the map and Killing demons.
Those Demons had a green / blue Skin and where equipped with big axes.
One of my Party members had a spell to close the portals where they spawn that one had also a pair of trousers with an asian touch .
and if i played for a bit i reached a point where a skeleton with a sword f**ked me caus i didnt understand the game ^^
oh and there was always that shitty wind blowing sound near those portals.
I know its not much and my English is pretty bad, but i still hope someone can help me^^

Assuming it is, and using a 3rd person view, here is a list of 77 games:

In the timespan around 2000, it mainly has Anachronox and FF8 releases listed.

But Baldurs Gate is using 'birds-eye view', which means another list, much larger, of 267 games:
