I need to insert a video which will be played when the game starts first, to show about the game story. But I can't find any method to play video in DOS using Allegro.
Someone says that there is an add-on plugin for supporting AVI format, but there aren't any sources of it anywhere, and it seems to run only in Windows, not other platforms.
Allegro supports FLI/FLC video format, but these sizes a very huge amount when they are converted from AVIto FLC.
Could anyone teach me how to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.

How to play a video using Allegro 4?
There exists a Allegro addon called APEG. Originaly there was no DOS build but members of DOS aint dead forum managed to compile it for DOS.
I am a new user so I can not place links here but go to DOS forum "DOS aint dead" and there place in the Search box this "Library for playing MPEG and OGG theora files" and follow the discussion and links.
