Hello,
I remember few things about the game:
I think the game was created before 2005,
maybe even in the 90's
In this game an old man walks with a tray of poison,
and trying to poison the lead actress who is a woman
(You can close the man in the fridge.)
I think third person but not sure.

Is this the whole point of the game, or just an episode? It's a bit hard to figure out what your game actually is from this description -- an adventure/murder mystery? Action game that requires fast reactions?

Somehow I keep picturing the tutorial level from Tomb Raider II but the butler certainly doesn't want to poison Lara?

Apparently, you can lock the butler in the fridge in that level (who knew?)
