Crystal Caverns 2 - NEW DOS GAME development

Post by mrelijahgardner »

I've started on my newest project for MS-DOS it is a game called Crystal Caverns 2. Last year I wrote a version for the Commodore 64.

Last years Commodore 64 release was written in just under 38K of ram. The new release will take advantage of the much more powerful and expensive PC's of the mid to late 80's.

The objective of the game is to explore the level collecting all of the gems while avoiding enemies. An easy way to think of the game is PacMan meets Mario.

This game will be distributed in a classic shareware style.
THIS GAME WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PHYSICAL RELEASE INCLUDING A BOX SET WITH 3.5 FLOPPY DISK AND GAME POSTER!

There is an indiegogo for this project. I have hired an artist and will be hiring someone for the music tracks. My goal is to create a top notch era correct game.

The project will be completed no matter what but help is always a good thing. I've tried to setup some pretty good rewards for the backers. Even if your not interested in backing it, you might be interested in following it to watch the development. I will try to post updates here as well.

Looks cool, thanks for posting.

Not sure about the rules but posting on the dosgaming reddit may be worthwhile:
