Shoot Em Up, Arcade Game in the 90's

There is a game that my dad used to playing the 90's. It's a vertical Shoot Em Up arcade game and you play as a F-15 and F-16 airplanes. He said the airplanes didn't go to the space. According to him the missiles in the game are just like real life, like speed and appearance. It's not an 3D games but it has a realistic design. Last but not least he said when he beat the game, the game started again but with invincibility.
If someone knows what game it is, we are searching for years but we didn't found nothing.

Do you know what platform? DOS, arcade cabinet, or something else? Only game that comes to mind is Captain Skyhawk, though that's an F14 and iirc it does go into space sometimes.
