Hello.
There were one game...
It was BEFORE 1998 (my first PC). The game was scrolling shooter flying from "down to up".
It had two selectable ships/planes - one was red (like red baron, probably propeller plane), and

another one was silver - it was rocket, or jet, or... dunno.

The red plane was shooting 2 "flames" while the silver shoot one.
There were collectible weapons, like rockets, laser, ect.
And first boss was GIANT red plane as far as i remember.
And enemy planes had painted creepy-faces on them.

And we were, at the start of every level, released from big grey/silver "mothership".
Anyone know what's title of that game?
Desperately looking for it!

Space Invaders? Here's a video showing multiple releases: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cML9sifxmYc
Or maybe it's Gradius 1985? There are many similar games, like Defender (1980), R-Type (1987), SubSpace (1997), Epic Games's Overkill...
I remember some giant red one in Star Control II https://youtu.be/njgHMxzwDLU?t=2h9m37s I know it doesn't fit your description but just want to be sure..
Solar Winds 1993 had that big grey/silver mothership at the beginning, I think this is the one you're looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlunMKzrcr8

Hello. Thanks but it was not space invaders, and nothing from the titles You suggested.

First of all - it was VERTICAL scrooling shooter.
It wasn't anything with space i think, at least not first levels.

It was flying only in one direction, shooting, and enviroment was like earth.

In the time frame that you specified, there were quite a few vertical scrolling shooters, but I can't remember any one for DOS that would fit your description. Just to be sure, check out:
Island Hopper
Flying Tigers
Baryon

But it's unlikely any of them are your game, sorry.

You can try looking through the lists:
DOS top-down shooters
Windows top-down shooters

Sorry for the necro.

The game might be interactivision's wingstar.

Quite likely, the time and screenshots match the OP:s description; let's hope aryel666 comes back to judge this.
