Very old Startrek game
Very old Startrek game
Hello People!
I'm looking for a very old startrek game.
you take command of the enterprise and get missions like intercept this and that ship.
on the screen you see the main screen of the ship plus all the controls.
the special thing of it was the sound. it always said things such as:
contact, rumulan bird of pray, mark 112, bearing 231 or whatever in a very mechanic voice.
i believe it was a shareware verion, an dit must have been released probably before 1992 or even earlier.
you will for sure remember it if you saw it once!

i'm no mod, but try this list...
http://www.mobygames.com/search/quick/s ... ar:20trek/
also, it might be EGA trek (on this site). i dunno tho, haven't played a game for a while now. the fun that they called games has deteriorated into putriotic garbace like the sims.

thanks for the hint, but no, its not EGA trek.
IIRC, the name is somewhat-trek too.
but there is no such kind of a sector overview in it. you see all the enemy ships in front view in the main screen.
and you don't get supplies from starbases but from supply ships that you can call with the distress-signal button.

i'm quite sure it is a startrek game. at least it got klingons, romulans etc. in it. its with the old enterprise.
but it is probably not an official startrek game, as its shareware and... well, does not have that much of a plot except the typical missions.
the main executeable probably was trek.exe..
and the name of the game probably something 8-lettered with trek at the end! Ah! i wish i could remember!
i think i found it in the internet once but deleted it again because it didn't work on my machine. silly me, i didn't use a dos emulator.
it is played with the mouse and.. well - if you played it once you would for sure remember the mechanical voice from the pc speaker! so typical!

lets do a summary again
Name: Unknown (says (unknown 8 letters) trek)
Features: it is played with the mouse
executable possibly: trek.exe
I just did a google on trek.exe and came up with gazillions of files
but i came up with super star trek... but that isnt it....
I should say I agree with kazer
EGA trek, or perhaps if it exists VGAtrek
