I remember the game like it was yesterday. A strategy rpg first person adventure game called "Gumboots" produced in about 1992/1993, based on adventuring around Australia to pick up clues and solve puzzles.
Does anyone know how I could obtain this game?
There were, I think, about 20 or 30 levels, and the last level saw you looking for chess pieces all across Australia. The mouse and keyboard were both used and your PC speaker got a real workout with constant music and jingles pumping out of that aannoying little speaker. There was a map page where you could view a map of Australia and where you currently were at. For a break, there were mini-games to play whilst you travelled to a different place in Australia (by car, bus, or plane), and while you were sleeping. The mini games appeared in an area in the top right hand side of the screen - there was one - my favourite- where you had to move around a smiley coloured circle which left big trails and bounce another smiley coloured circle around that area of the screen.
I had a look on the search engines and discovered www.gamingdepot.com/g/Gum_Boots_Australia; but alas, "cannot find server".
Please help if you know how I could obtain this game. Thanks in advance.
